AIBU in wanting to buy a viscount?

Should qualify that by saying its the chocolate biscuit I'm after, not the peer!

I want to makes variation on Lorraine Pascale's cookies & cream brownies, butacholoatemint or orange version.

Can't find viscounts in Tesco, morrisons, waitrose or the co-op and don't have an asda or sainsbo's within 10 miles. Even the flavoured penguins would do, but can't find them either.

ScaryNutellaFangs · 29/10/2013 19:22

Try the cheapy shops- poundland, home bargains etc.

vole3 · 29/10/2013 19:29

They were going to be my next places to try, but can never set foot in pound land or similar with DS in tow and escape without acquiring more plastic shit stuff

Poundland, 99P store always have them. Severely underrated biscuits, they don't deserve to be banished to such places.

RobotLover68 · 29/10/2013 19:34

ooh I love them - I remember eating them as a kid, they've been around a long time!

CerealKillerMom · 29/10/2013 19:34

Mmmmm orange Viscount.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 29/10/2013 19:39

Aaah Viscounts...they are my childhood definition of posh Grin. We only got them at christmas!

TheTroubleWithTribbles · 29/10/2013 19:40

Lidl have mint ones for 99p for a pack of 14 Smile

GreatSoprendo · 29/10/2013 19:46

89p for 14 in B&M, if they have a store near you. I bought some last week. They were bloody lovely - all 14 of them Grin

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/10/2013 19:48

I STILL think they're posh, Poundland or not! Blush

And Matchmakers.

GreatSoprendo · 29/10/2013 19:48

HappyMummyOfOne · 29/10/2013 19:49

Mint ones in all supermarkets here but not seen orange ones in years.

BigBirthdayGloom · 29/10/2013 19:51

Lidl? My mil always has them and 99% of her shopping is from lidl. As mine would be if there was one nearer than a half hour drive away.

MetellaEstMater · 29/10/2013 19:51

£1.35 for seven on Ocado.

Daylight robbery.

fanoftheinvisibleman · 29/10/2013 19:52

Grin matchmakers are posh. But my grandma used to have Elizabeth Shaws and a bungalow...she was posh Grin.

BigBirthdayGloom · 29/10/2013 19:52

Bless her, she often brings us a pack when she visits.

LittleBearPad · 29/10/2013 19:56

I vant a viscount now.

I think mint or orange may have to go to pound land tomorrow.

midori1999 · 29/10/2013 19:57

The biscuit factory near us makes viscounts and they often have huge bags of them (think about 1/2 a carrier bag full) for £1.20 in the factory shop. I try and avoid going there though as I can't stop eating them if they're in the house.

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/10/2013 20:16

Fanoftheinvisibleman

Elizabeth Shaw AND a bungalow? Practically royalty, that!

But then, people thought my family were posh because a relative gave us an upright piano Grin

We were common.as.muck.

ipswichwitch · 29/10/2013 20:27

But I am a prince.......

fanoftheinvisibleman · 29/10/2013 20:36

So were we Heartbrokenmum, bloody airs and graces were muttered about more than once Wink

fanoftheinvisibleman · 29/10/2013 20:37

I'd have expected someone with a piano to eat viscounts daily!

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/10/2013 20:39

Hahahahaha.

Yes, and to have them delivered on a golden tray by our Butler!

fanoftheinvisibleman · 29/10/2013 20:53

You were shortchanged I tell you. You could have cashed in that piano for a years worth of biscuits!
