to think one needs to use headphones on planes

DH and I just returned from a visit to his family in America, which is a long flight. I was very annoyed that a woman across the aisle watched videos on her ipad with no headphones for the last 3 hours of the flight, t a loud volume, and it was a loud action film with lots of crashes and dramatic music. I wanted to offer her my headphones as a hint, as I am unable tosleepeasily on planes anyway, and was exhausted. DH said to leave it, and that it was not a big deal, so I seethed silently to myself. I think is so rude to do what she did, and to ju s t expect everyone around you to be ok with your noise, but I admit I am a light sleeper and my ds slept soundly beside me anyway. Would I have been unreasonable to ask that woman to use headphones, and was I unreasonable to be so annoyed? I was relly surprised that flight attendnts went by and said nothing...

And you didn't say anything either?

you were unreasonable to not ask her to use headphones. Why did you not just ask her instead of putting up with it?

I had it happen on a flight I was on (except it was porn and it's associated noises!). I pointed it out to the flight attendant who dealt with it.
