To think Charles Saatchi really isn't helping himself?

He thinks he has some sort of explanation for knocking Nigella about and has sent her a legal letter threatening to reveal them.

Apparently when they got together she gave him 'certain assurances' which she failed to keep and he reckons that it justifies his behaviour.

There's no excuse is there? And given that he works in PR doesn't he realize this is all making his PR skills look a bit, er, shit.

If this is true, then he is a bunny-boiler for sure! I have heard that he is a complete control freak and I can imagine that her silence has driven him nuts! I thought that he was now seeing Trinny Woodall - unless she is in someway behind this, I bet she is feeling like the rebound mattress right now.

It doesn't matter if she shagged the entire population of London and the south counties, there isn't ANY reason for him to physically attack her and put his hand on her throat.

What promise she made and whether she kept it or not will never justify his assaulting her.

Surely he has some legal eagle with some human intelligence that could bring him up to speed about how normal people behave.

If I were Nigella, i'd tell him to go for it, to fill his boots, to publish, publish and publish.

Did saatchi not get that he has ZERO support in decent society? Does he not see that the only one that'll look bad is him!?

He must be barking mad, it had quietened down. Why on earth would he resurrect this now? Has he not grasped that what ever she may have done or not done, it is what he did that is so intolerable? I can only assume that he is indeed barking and his lawyers are not acting in his best interests.

Thing is, whatever 'secret' he's going to let slip, the damage is done and he's not going to turn opinions round by spilling further info on their relationship/marriage.

I also think he's publically courting Trinny Woodall to get back at Nigella.

He is making himself look like an absolute psycho.

He must be damaging his business now because he's making himself look unhinged. If he can't even manage his own publicity with some modicum of sense how can he be expected to manage someone elses?

Poor Nigella, it sounds like even divorcing him hasn't rid her of this bastard and he's still trying to make her life miserable.

I suspect he is about to destroy himself though.

It doesn't matter. He can't justify publicly strangling her and grabbing her face. No matter what she has done, or, not done, he cannot justify violence. I would say the same were the situations reversed too.

She was one of the the Observer's Chefs of the Decade last week and gave an interview which was entirely about her career as a cook. There were also some very glamorous photographs.

She is doing well and seems happy and confident. This would send a creep like Saatchi into a tailspin.

If he thinks that there is anything that could be revealed that would make reasonable people think his behaviour was justified, he's very much mistaken.

I heard he refused to eat anything she cooked that wasn't practically toddler food.

I found that the most devious and chilling part, that he'd go that far to deny her any pride or have to appear grateful and complimentary.

The world would seriously be a much better place without him in it.
