To really hate some Soap characters....

I know it isn't real but some characters make me want to either scream or vomit!

The top two contenders are the vile Sharon and her son 'Denny' in Eastenders!! Are some mothers really as blind sighted as she when it comes to her horrible son??

Anyone else??

Yes I don't read. Ever. Well, apart from TV quick so I can find out what's going on in Coronation street this week.

And if you don't watch soaps or believe that people who watch them are a waste of oxygen, why go to the trouble of commenting on a thread that has a clearly defined topic on soap characters?

I think EE went crap after Heather was killed off. She was a genuinely funny character. They try to make people like Fatboy and Tamwaaar funny but it doesn't work.

Alice is supposed to be something like 20 I think.

How come no one has mentioned Marlon from Emmerdale? I saw it recently for the first time in ages and couldn't believe that gormless string bean is still in it. Awful, awful actor.

Dev from Corrie. He stresses the wrong word in every sentence making it impossible for the human ear to decipher what he is saying.
I saw him once in a pub as a student. He was desperately trying to get recognised, no one could tell what he was saying then either!

Is he really still in it? I've not watched it for years, how can they make Marlon Dingle remotely interesting? For years on end though.

Bring back lovely Joe Gilgun as Eli and I will return to the Emmerdale watchers fold.

David in corrie because his Yorkshire accent stands out like a sore thumb. Corrie is supposed to be Manchester and can't remember Gail popping over to Leeds to give birth and Raise him for many years.
Its bollocks.

I must admit I have a soft spot for Gail, but only because I know the actress who plays her (Helen Worth) does so much for animal welfare. To me, that makes her beautiful. Blush I think Helen is pretty fantastic, so I can't dislike her character.

Which is funny because I really like the actress (Charlie??) who plays Janine in EE, yet I cannot stand Janine!!

I bloody hate Gail on corrie. I met a cab driver. Gail 'bitch' jumped into his cab + ordered him to take her somewhere. He told her no, that he was on his break. She then proceeded to shout, do you know who I am???? He then answered he didn't care who she was, he was on his break! Wish I'd been there. I would have clapped. I cannot respect these 'soap' actors. To me, they are not acting, they are just playing themselves!!!
