To think I may be living in a 90's sitcom

I was contemplating life, as you do while breastfeeding and I'm starting to wonder if I'm actually living out a sitcom?
It appears to have all the plot points; a pretty useless but amusing husband, if he changed a lightbulb he will get electrocuted, climb a ladder he will fall off, put up a shelf it will fall down etc. I hate my MIL, she's always criticising me (like the mum from everyone loves Raymond). Now added in for good measure my brother has a girlfriend who falls over her own feet constantly, she's 35 for goodness sake!
Is everyone else's lives like this?

No, mine's a soap. Without going into the sordid details that could provide plotlines for Eastenders for the next five years, here's an example:

Friend A: You'll never believe what's happened to tallwiv now...
Friend B: I dunno, the appearance of a hitherto-unknown sibling?
Friend A: Correct.

To be in a 90s sitcom you really need a couple of teenagers wandering around making smartarse comments. The baby would have had to be an accidental pregnancy involving lots of hilarious double takes from your husband and the teenagers going "eeeeuuuuw" at the thought of their parents actually Doing It.
