There are probably more troll threads than we identify as troll threads but not all of them are.

The goady fuckers are fairly clear, but the attention seeking and the I Will Pretend I Did What I Wish I Did threads are less obvious.

I have seen lots of threads where people have shouted TROLL, but almost never thought that myself.

Some posters cannot bring themselves to believe the variety of lives and situations that people deal with especially if a poster is wealthy AND has problems. Which is perfectly possibly.

Or if an OP expresses themselves less than carefully and so appear to contradict themselves on a particular point - witnesses in court cases do this regularly and it certainly does not mean they are necessarily lying.

I also find it irritating when people accuse an OP of "drip feeding". A short snappy first post is called for (nobody wades through the overlong ones) together with relevant facts added in when and if needed. What would be the problem with drip feeding anyway

But if you feel that way then you should def step away as you will not be able to offer support in that frame of mind and could do some damage to a RL person in their RL due to your belief that they are not real.
