YANBU. Not sure why the vendetta against public sector workers is such a thing for the Tories.

Because the state and the public sector is the ideology of Labour. The Tories are all for free trade, survival of the fittest, so you could say that the Tories are ideologically opposed to the state. It always works better to pitt the rich against the poor, the public sector against private industry. It takes the focus away from how poorly the government in performing if the minions are infighting.

I hope you don't get shot. It's a perfectly valid question and the whys and wherefores need exposing.

Thank you. Sometimes, in the public sector, it really does feel as if everyone hates you lol. I have worked in both the private and public sectors and whilst the private sector paid so much more, I have bettern t&c's in the public sector. Just don't understand why public sector workers - like teachers, NHS staff, local government staff are accused of being lazy and useless when we work damn hard to keep things going, to give you health care when you are ill and educate your children. I'm not attacking, just genuinely puzzled really.

Oh ay... the gold plated pension! Like the one my dad got after spending his whole life in the NHS... £185 a month.

But of course us lazy public sector workers are a very much easier target than actual government policy.

This week I saw a comment about how 'they' (ie Public sector workers) are always getting their palm greased and having expensive lunches by property developers.

A lot of public sector workers aren't well paid. Like clerical government workers. But they don't actually make money. So where does the money come from to pay them. That's what a lot of socialists don't seem to grasp. You can't have socialism in a mainly capitalist country. Er I have had two glasses of wine which is a lot for me.

I get so annoyed when people go on about public sector pensions being so good. If I ever retire then yes i may get a reasonable pension (not counting on it though!) However, I pay more into it each month than i do in tax and NI so i would bloody hope to get something back. Many people I know who work in private sector have no pension provision then can't work out how they think this is going to be paid when they retire.

Sorry I've just ranted off the subject of the thread but needless to say I will not be voting for any bunch of twats who are intent on dismantling the foundations of the welfare state while lining their own pockets. Lets just hope the damage done to the nhs and education will not be irreparable once the tories are gone.
