It promised gentle light show and soothing lullabye to lull your little one off to sleep.
Does it buggery. She's spent the last 20 minutes singing along to the lullaby and now its stopped she is rattling the toy against the side of the cot, presumably to get it to work again, and is voicing her displeasure loudly.
Back to the drawing board...........

Ive so far had 3 cot toys, the tree forest thing where they light up and float around - that didnt work.

Then I had the large piano thing from fisher price that was just annoying cos id have to leave it on and when he wriggled hed set it off and wake himself up.

Then finally my mum bought him (after id told her not to) the winnie the pooh night light, dear god who makes these things, the most annoying music with pictures of a 10 foot tigger projected onto the ceiling made him scream as if he was being attacked, not to mention his love of pressing the button to make then all snore, just kept him awake for hours.

Ive since found out that if i give him 2 little things (usually massive lego blocks) to hold while hes in bed he waves them about for a minute or 2 and that somehow tires him out and sends him to sleep, then i go in bit later to remove them Smile never let me down yet!!

I thought the fisher price seahorse got recalled

dopeysheep · 15/10/2013 22:03

Did it? My dd bloody loved that seahorse. Got a VTech mobile now which is great, it turns on automatically if they wake up and cry, or very spookily if you bump it in the night whilst settling the baby. . .

dd had a box that clipped on the side of the cot nd wither played music or played white noises. she used to kick it in an attempt to get it to work.

You all need to play pink Floyd to your babies, used to get mine off to sleep in no time Grin Wish you were here was his favourite.
