who pay a gardener should clear up their dog's poo before the gardener arrives to mow the lawn. Cat poo I accept as most cats crap in other people's gardens and the odd missed dog poo is ok. But a week's worth of crap to clear before I start?

Don't mow the lawn and tell them why! Just dirty. YANBU

That's vile Shock

YANBU. We had a gardener for a bit when we first moved in, to help sort it out a bit, and that was something I always made certain to do - pick up any presents the dog had left behind! There wasn't much as she's walked frequently, but it's not fair to leave little piles of that about for an unsuspecting gardener!

Whoknowswhocares · 15/10/2013 15:14

Poo in the garden is disgusting. The longer it's left there the higher the chance of it being walked back into the house, which is even more gross.
I can't understand why anyone wouldn't clear up straight away. Yanbu.

Yuk! I have a Labrador and a gardener, I would never expect him to mow the lawn with dog poo on! Shock

grovel · 15/10/2013 15:52

YANBU. I clear the lawn before the gardener mows.

ErrolTheDragon · 15/10/2013 15:57

Of course YANBU. I have the dubious honour of checking its clear before DH mows (his back goes if he bends over). Even if you try to clear up straight away, unless you always keep your eye on your dog there may be the odd stealth poop.

The only exception might be if the dog owner was infirm and had specifically asked if you could do it, provided you with bags/gloves and paid you extra.

I have been known to mow around before...messes up the stripes though!
