I vowed to start getting christmas food one thing a week.

Why on earth did I start with the chocolates?

they've only been here 2 hours

I'm eating them from now until Christmas. Extends the girth festive season, doesn't it Grin

Belugagrad · 10/10/2013 20:44

Yanbu :)

Cakecrumbsinmybra · 10/10/2013 20:47

Ha ha, I had to read this thread as I am currently tucking into a chocolate orange!! They were on offer so got 3 for DH and DCs stockings, and oh dear, a spare one....yum!

WireCat · 10/10/2013 20:49

4 tins. In the boot of my car for safe keeping, safe keeping. My fat arse.

sparkle101 · 10/10/2013 20:51

Already started on the roses I bought for my staff. Best go back to the shops.

bearleftmonkeyright · 10/10/2013 20:54

put the chocolates down and move away from the area.

CharlieAlphaKiloEcho · 10/10/2013 20:55

Well apparently the cat is my new dietician and sensed my chocolate plan.

He has parked himself firmly on my lap.

I can't kick him off. I had him 'fixed' on Tuesday and he has only just forgiven me.

But there is a tin of Heros with my name on.... mini toblerone....yum!

YANU! I am sure they will be stale by then, perhaps even poisonous! Better eat them immediately.

foslady · 10/10/2013 22:18

Co op's £1 a box liqueurs are lovely - allegedly, not that I'd know, of course not, I haven't bought and eaten a box.......or two........

WorraLiberty · 10/10/2013 22:22

Just save them for Christmas and that way they'll seem more like a christmassy treat.

Otherwise you'll be bored of eating Christmas food before December even starts.

Amy106 · 10/10/2013 22:26

Life is short.
Why wait?
Munch away, I say and enjoy! Smile

agendabender · 10/10/2013 22:30

already done it
bangs gavel

CoconutRing · 10/10/2013 22:30

I always eat a least one tin a week of Celebrations or Roses before the festive season.

I'm a firm believer in quality control.

OctopusWrangler · 10/10/2013 22:40

I uave hallowe'en chocolates taunting me butni am remaining strong!

also has a cat sprawled on her knee

Mouserama · 11/10/2013 10:40

This is the reason I don't buy christmas chocolates until December. Because I keep having to re-buy them again and again because I have no willpower. None.

SmiteYouWithThunderbolts · 11/10/2013 10:50

I definitely didn't buy a tin of Roses yesterday and start eating them on the way home. Blush

Oldraver · 11/10/2013 12:44

No, you need to audition all things meant for Christmas just incase they turn out to be crap

girlywhirly · 11/10/2013 13:11

Good point, Oldraver.

Also there is that old MN tradition of wrapping Christmas presents while listening to festive music, eating the Christmas chocs for energy to keep you going.

Totesamazeballs · 11/10/2013 13:20

I do it every year. I buy chocolates for gifts, hide them under the bed and vow not to go within 2 metres of them and then scoff them all in a moment of weakness. Sigh. Every damn year.

Featherbag · 11/10/2013 13:31

It all needs testing surely? You wouldn't want to risk giving your family chocolate that turns out to be crap at Christmas would you?

LaurieFairyCake · 11/10/2013 13:35

I moved house yesterday

The only thing in the house is a Christmas cake

I've eaten a third of it

(I'm fucking knackered, the cat shit on my foot in protest at moving, I haven't yet found a cup for coffee)
