To take the steri strips off?

I had the implant put in yesterday, afterwards, they put some steri-strips, followed by a plaster, then a bandage wrapped around my arm.

The bandage was so tight it was squeezing the life out of my arm so pretty much removed that after an hour, later on in the day the plaster started peeling off so removed that. I was told to keep the steri strips on for 2 days but they are now basically hanging off too!

Would it be the end of the world if I just took them off now? I have no plasters or anything in the house to replace them with.

Hard to say without seeing it, but I think I'd be inclined to leave them, maybe covered, for an extra day.

If you peeled them off do you think they would come away easily, or do you think it might cause a little bleeding?

I don't think it would be hard at all. When I woke up this morning there was one stuck to the side of ds' crib

if the wound is closed, no problem.
put a dry dressing (plaster/gauze, whatever) over the area if you're worried about catching it on clothing.

and stop worrying! Grin
