Just a little background: We are not friends. If we didn't have DDs in common I would never see him. I am civil to him for their sake but he is an annoying usefless unreliable piece of poo who treated me wholly without respect and consideration over a long period (no need for backstory just trust me here that he did not behave well). We have been separetd for 8 years, divorced for 6. he is an alcoholic who does not work. I work in a field related to medicine but am not a doctor. He is supposed to see his children briefly on saturdays at our house at lunchtime/ early afternoon. He rarely manages this because he is drunk/has made other plans etc so often defers to Sunday am after church, either here, or frequently I take them to his (at my own cost, rearranging our plans) or he cancels altogether.
