No-that's perfectly reasonable. But why do you have packets at home? Grin

EndoplasmicReticulum · 25/09/2013 18:57

We do this.

Got a massive box of ketchup sachets from Approved Food, always have a couple in my bag if we go where there are chips.

Apart from anything else, son 2 eats huge amounts of the stuff, the tiny sachets you get in cafes don't do the job. Sometimes I take a bottle.

edlyu · 25/09/2013 18:59

We take our own bottle of mayonnaise if we go to an eatery that only does sachets.

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2013 19:06

The sachets of mayo in pubs are rubbish, and hard to open.

ShakeRattleNRoll · 25/09/2013 19:08

Get stuck in, enjoy !

iklboo · 25/09/2013 19:11

We're dieting & nowhere does extra light mayo. So we take a small squeezy bottle of our own.

TootsFroots · 25/09/2013 19:27

YANBU to use your own tomato ketchup

However, YABU not to have ordered curry sauce with your chips. Sad. You HAVE to have chip shop curry sauce with chip shop chips. I think it's the law.

TENDTOprocrastinate · 25/09/2013 19:30

I take my own ketchup/mustard to the ILs as their's is 1 year out of date! They don't like to waste food!

elcranko · 25/09/2013 19:40

YANBU, those sachets are rubbish! You need about ten of the buggers just to get a decent dipping amount on your plate.

thinkofablinkingnamewoman · 25/09/2013 19:45

I rarely post but yes to Toots. Curry sauce or nothing!

Sparklingbrook · 25/09/2013 19:51

I buy the Harry Ramsdens Chip Shop Curry Sauce mix for home. Blush

ShakeRattleNRoll · 25/09/2013 19:51

elcranko do you like a burger with your ketchup by any chance?

IamChristmas · 25/09/2013 19:59

I took a bottle of Heinz to a chippy the other day. Their sauce is a poor imitation and costs a fortune so I took my own.
YANBU

DameDeepRedBetty · 25/09/2013 20:32

When on a cheapskate camping holiday at the seaside last year we kept a large bottle of squeezy Heinz in the glove box for just this reason Grin

HughGeeReckshin · 25/09/2013 20:43

It is the law Toots,
but op, YANBU... 30p is ridiculous!!

tolittletoolate · 25/09/2013 20:51

last time I got fish and chips I took our own vinegar and salt Grin
