To think that Halifax's cashback scheme is rubbish

It is meant to be based on your previous spending. You get four choices. Not one of mine are places I shop at eg Play and Morrison's. I have never ever shopped at Morrison's as there isn't one anywhere near here. A friend of mine has the same problem but in reverse..She also has nowhere she actually shops at but would be really happy to have Morrison's as that's where she does her weekly shop.

Well I guess this is one way Halifax will be able to avoid actually giving out any cash back Confused

I got morrisons as one of my cash back places. I never shop there normally, but may do as a one off as if I spend £100 I think they will give me £20. Do you know if that's right?

It does seem to be a bit if a con though.

Does one have to pay a privilege for this cashback account?

sweetkitty · 24/09/2013 22:48

All cash back schemes are rubbish according to my DP who knows about the stuff apparently Wink in his line of work.

MrsGSR · 24/09/2013 23:18

I'd forgotten all about the Cashback thing until reading this. Just signed on and I have 5 offers, 2 for places I've never heard of, 2 for places I've shopped maybe twice, and one for argos. The argos one is only 5% and is probably the only one I'll use.

bsc I have the reward account which is free, I think it's avaliable on most of their accounts

AmazingDisgrace · 25/09/2013 12:59

I think if you click on an offer it is only valid for a month as well. If only they'd give me Sainsburys Hmm

I apologise for my appalling apostrophe usage. I'd blame autocorrect but frankly its not. It is me and I shall return my O Level English certificate in shame and self loathing
