in around 2009 I started bleeding non-stop very heavily and passing blood clots the size of tennis balls. This went on and on. I could easily soak a sanitary pad in half an hour. It was a never ending period from hell. Painful too. The hospital found nothing but didn't do an awful lot of looking into it anyway, so after a year of this, only thing they could suggest was to insert mirena coil to stop the bleeding. So I went ahead with it. I have no bleeding whatsoever now.
I was so fucked off with the lack of help from medical professionals that I really researched into my condition and decided that it's probably fibroids. A smear of mine came back abnormal and they asked me back to do another smear to re-check, but as I was having discharge they couldn't perform the smear. Wtf! So that never got sorted out, so I decided the abnormalities were fibroids. I can feel them!
It has come to the time where we would like to start TTC. I have to have the coil out for this, but what will happen? Will the never ending blood come back? I've started on natural remedies for fibroids (cinnamon, eating lots of greens, fish and berries etc) but I cant bear the thought of dealing with all that blood again!
I can't go back to the docs. Completely and utterly lost my faith in them.
I was just hoping someone may have had a similar experience and can give me hope and assurance of what might lie ahead. Please help anyone!
