Or do I have to report it.

So a particular thread may have triggered my thoughts bit I am asking in general so it isnt really a thread about a thread.

I'm sorry, can you explain a bit more what you mean? Can you hide the thread, or do you think there are posts that shouldn't be there? If so then report.

IKnewHouseworkWasDangerous · 20/09/2013 15:25

No I think the op is posting pretending to be the other person in a situation.

I.e

If it were a husband and wife situation the wife would post pretending to be the husband.

This would be so that every one tells him he is unreasonable and she can be validated as the innocent party.

I dislike reverse threads because they are dishonest and rarely acheive what they set out to. The advice is invalid because you lack the insight into the actual behaviour.

Ask on the thread, I've seen that loads of times.

phantomnamechanger · 20/09/2013 15:44

happens all the time on AIBU, where the poster thinks the other person was BU

PrincessRomy · 20/09/2013 15:50

Yes, call reverse, often the poster will reveal it's a reverse aibu after they have received sufficient posts reassuring them of their stance.

I don't really see how you can do a true reverse aibu as you only have your own interpretation of a situation, not the other person's.
