Vague alert!!
Heard a lovely song blaring from a car this morning
It's very haunting and slow, maybe a bit waltzy, from 50s or 60s, I only heard the briefest bar of it and can't even tell if male or female voice

I recognised it as I think it was once on the closing credits of mad men and I liked it then but forgot to look it up

Any clues??

I think if anyone can work out the song from that, they deserve a prize!

Sorry I haven't got a foggiest clue what the song is.

One of these?

I know, going to spend morning sifting through the list of mad men closing credit songs, I will find it

It sounds a bit like righteous brothers ebb tide (first one I looked at) but not that

Wonderful Wonderful by Johnny Mathis?

oldgrandmama · 18/09/2013 10:02

Oooh, I think I know. If it's the same one, then yes, I agree, it's really haunting. Took me some time to track it down but it's 'Shahadararoba', by Roy Orbison. You can hear it at:

I love it - bought 'The All Time Hits of Roy Orbison' specially for the song. Let me know if it's the one you're after.

Those are both fab songs but not it, but it's very like wonderful wonderful, maybe a bit slower though. Argh, wish I'd stopped the blood car!!

Can you look on the radio stations playlists to see if it throws anything up for you?

squoosh · 18/09/2013 11:57

I heard a song this morning, it was from the 80's or 90's, it was either a man or a woman singing and it had the word love in the lyrics.

£1,000,000 to the person who comes up with the artist and title.

WhatchaMaCalllit · 18/09/2013 12:04

LOL squoosh Would it be "It must have been love" by Roxette by any chance???

Where can I pick up the £1m???

Snipface · 18/09/2013 13:39
