Dh goes the gym 3 times a week, he works funny shifts so this means I only see him 1 week out of 3 as he's either in bed or work.
Iv had the day from hell with poor ds (15 weeks) teething and poor Dd (4) having a crappy day at school iv just gotton home with ds screaming, Dd asking for her tea and Dh has buffered off and left me to it once again struggling on my own to look after ds whilst trying to cook tea and entertain Dd after school.
Not every day is so bad but by the time he's back it with be bath and bed time (which I'll end up doing because he will want to eat his tea!(
Sorry for the rant but I'm fed up of doing it all by myself..

YANBU!
It's hard enough with one baby to look after let alone a toddler too. I take my hat off to single parents i really do not know how they manage!
Put your foot down - it takes two to make a child, he needs to do his fair share, I would remind him that he's missing out on his children growing up and for what?? Bigger pecks :) sounds to me like the gym is his escape from the chaos!

PurplePidjin · 17/09/2013 17:52

Yanbu, he can go when the kids are in bed, not dump you with all the shit!

What happens on his days off? Does he pull his weight? Can you dump the kids off on him an bugger off for a walk for a few hours?

Almostfifty · 17/09/2013 17:57

Tell him he goes to the gym when you've got them to bed. That's when my DH went.

BrokenSunglasses · 17/09/2013 18:08

I agree he needs to go after the dc are in bed, or he could get up early in the morning and go.

If he won't compromise, he's a selfish arse.

PTFO · 17/09/2013 18:13

Agree with above.

sameoldIggi · 17/09/2013 18:24

I like the gym, but I go when dcs are up at the weekend only, and other times it's only once their in bed. I can see dh's face if I tried what yours is doing!

EmmaBemma · 17/09/2013 18:26

Yes, he needs to go either first thing in the morning or after bed time. My gym ( a v. cheap one) has 24 hour entry, and even failing that, most are open by 6 and shut late.

Wibblypiglikesbananas · 17/09/2013 18:51

Well, so long as he understands that you need the same amount of time off each week, all should be well. And it sounds like up you've got a fair few weeks banked as well now ;o) Plan something lovely for yourself and give him the chance to see exactly what it's like looking after two.

Fairenuff · 17/09/2013 18:52

YANBU but I expect you won't do anything about it?
