Because dh seems to. As does the pharmacist I spoke to today.

I'm just over a week over due for af but all of the at least nine tests have come back negative.

What's more likely: dodgy tests or another reason for no af?

period has always been regular as clockwork, even when it came back during bf - straight back into old cycle.

dh thinks it's more likely because I spent a week not bf then started again but it's only a feed a day and not even every day. Would that make the difference?

I think it's more likely you are irregular due to bf than so many false negatives.

My cycle is very odd at the moment ( bf 9 month old ds)it was more than a week late last month.

When did your periods restart after birth?

With DD2 I didn't get a BFP until day 44 of a 27 day cycle. From day 28 to day 35 I had 5 negative tests.

It ain't over till its over. Till you see blood then any day now could be your BFP.

Do you FEEL pregnant? At only a week past due date of af, levels might not be high enough to get a positive test if you ovulated a little late in the cycle or you tested with weak urine...

... How negative were the tests? If a faint coloured line (not gray) developed a bit after the "time limit" of the test, then it may be worth testing again in a few days.

But you are Bf so you're cycle may just be irregular because of that.

I've had number four and I think I am finally cured! four is a decent number however you look at it. I could not have ignored the whirring broodiness before this point though.

periods stayed when ds was 13mo so 7 months ago now abd have been regular as before until now.

I think, from experience, a feeling of pregnancy on stopping or cutting down breastfeeding is pretty normal. I'm going through it now and not pregnant but did stop brestfeeding 2.5 weeks ago.

Actually "cakes" that is a point, I had to have a chest xray when just stopping bf and made them let me do a pg test before as I couldn't shake the feeling I was Pg.
