To think how hard is it to send a text message?

Younger DSS did well in a sporting competition last week. His Mum knows all about it but has neither phones or text him to say well done although she has text DH about other things. DSS is not overly upset but he is wondering why she hasn't got in contact with him. I am silently seething - AIBU to think it would be the work of 10 seconds to send him a message to say "well done"?

I wouldn't text for that sort of thing. I'd congratulate when I saw them, and want to hear all about it from them.

Really DeWe? She won't see him until next weekend at the earliest, by which time it'll be long over and he'll most likely have played another match.
