Shall I wake her up or not

Quick one!!

Dd 2 is 4 months. She has to have regular naps or she will turn in to devil child that screams like I'm pinching her!! Hysterics.

Been out today and she had hardly napped too nosey, so she missed out on 2 scheduled naps. I put her down for her 3rd at 4 which normally lasts till 5. She goes back down at 6.30 for the night.

When i went up she was snoring - flat out. Emailed dh , shall I wake her , he didn't want to take the blame if it goes tits up. I woke her up but she is comatosed on me.

Shall I just leave her to sleep and deal with consequences or wake her???

Let her sleep! Just put her down as normal but an hour later. Babies like routine but they aren't aware of time so she should be fine if you do her normal routine a bit later

I'd leave her to sleep if she had missed out on sleep today. 4 months isn't old enough to get too much of a routine yet, so I really wouldn't worry about the bedtime hour today.

The most important thing would be whether she is feeding and producing nice wet nappies, as the only reasons i'd wake her would be to feed if she hadn't done a wet nappy for too long.

Usually you rob Peter to pay Paul with daytime sleep, but I don't think it matters too much as a one-off at 4
months old.

We live and learn.

I would add, never wake a sleeping baby, a sleeping child, or indeed a sleeping adult (I am sometimes v. crabby if woken).

Snap. DD is no longer an angelic sleeping beauty, she is a screaming monster :)
