In butchers on Sat buying meat for freezer - they had rib eye steak on special offer (but still not cheap) - it looked sooooo good...bought enough for DP and I... but didn't get round to telling him ...
(We never buy steak - DCs won't eat it -mainly a DD1 stage (DD2 copies) -if you put a roast dinner in front of her she treats it like poison)
Thought for once DP and I could have steak and DCs sausages ...
So sorting meat out yesterday - at lunch time - and crumbled - had half the steak for lunch ShockBlush - thought I would just have sausages for dinner...
DP out with a friend - phoned at last minuteish to say he wouldn't be back for dinner ... I was a bit Hmm Angry
Today looking in fridge ... steak was sitting there waving and beckoning to me ...
Blush
I've eaten the other half (it was bloody lovely) - I did give a tiny bit to cat cos she asked nicely...
....washed up, aired smell out of house ...DP needs never know...

AIBU?

If he isn't coming back for dinner you cant starve now can you... Wink And tomorrow he can have sausage, egg n chips....

Glad you enjoyed it.

IANBU!!! (probably greedy though Blush)
(..there is something v. decadent about having steak for lunch...feel sooooooo naughty....)
Have to go to butcher today to pick something up - so I could buy some more...
but don't think the budget will stretch to it ...
That's a pity isn't it .....Grin Wink

I haven't had steak for so long. Friday is DSs first full day at school and my first full day of peace and quiet. Now I know what I'm doing for my lunch :)

His fault for phoning at the last minute to tell you he wouldn't be home for dinner.
The steak was just there getting wasted, wasn't it?
And who knows if he'll be in for dinner today.

I go for breakfast all the time and don't tell oh. Grin

nokidshere · 10/09/2013 16:14

What I eat when my husband isn't here is none of his business. In any case the steak needed to be eaten today, didn't it Wink?
