I want to go in and make a cup of tea and I can't because his friend from overseas is sitting on the frigging kitchen table! I am wearing terrible clothing and am not in the mood to say "Hi! Oh hi...how are you! Yes....we're all fine blah blah"

Shouldnt he be doing this in the sitting room where I never go after 9.00pm!

YANBU!! You should be able to roam freely in the rooms you want to without worrying about how you appear to someone in another country!!

Ask him to make you one instead

YANBU! My DH does this with the PILs, usually first thing in the morning here (East Coast USA). I hate having to think about what I look like when I come downstairs into our open plan living area when all I want is a cuppa at 7am!

I feel your pain. We are on west coast/pacific time, so the only time to Skype with home is usually first thing. I am wandering round in my nightie with bed hair and everyone is looking groomed holding a glass of wine/beer. It's started to make me want a drink with my weetabix

that's so rude when you need your first coffee/tea of the day, i'd send him out to the shed to skype out there lol!

My American cousin Skyped me while I was sick in bed.

Then she announced she was having a party and proceeded to carry me (well, her laptop) round the house introducing me to people!

I feel your pain. DS skypes my ex and I hate it. I try so hard to stay behind the laptop but DS is only 4 and needs me to set it up etc.

I read another MN was in a skype war with her DS's girlfriends mum about who could do the most embarrassing thing in the background. I love that ide for when DD starts syping her friends!

Maybe you can come in with a large pot of vaseline and ask loudly if DH wants to get his nightly anal fun out the way now as you fancy an early night? :)
