arranged an appointment at the house at 9.30am, was home by 9.15 and rushed round sorting washing up and washing etc, they didn't turn up so at 9.45 I checked the phone.
They had rung at 9 to confirm still ok for appointment, I was out, so they left a message saying I appear to have forgotten about the meeting so can I ring to rearrange.
I hadn't forgotten, I was in at 9.30, why should I be in half an hour earlier.

This has also happened with a family member recently. was visiting and because I didn't pick up call hour earlier he didn't come presuming im out. aaagh.

aibu to think I don't need checking up on like this?

Also, whil ranting, aibu to expect family not to ring at 8.15am regularly because they know i'll be in? im getting kids ready to be out for half past and don't have time to chat.

i guess your calls just assumed that you'd be at home at 9am, [they obviously don't do the school run], it is annoying though as you say. as for family calling at 8.15 when you are busy with kids and they know you will be that's plain daft, can't they leave a message that you can pick up and then call back if it is urgent?
