to be worried

My DP says I'm being ridiculous but my DC4 is only 5 days old and I fed her last night at 11.30 and I have just woke up and realised she has not fed or woken all night, I'm worried something may be wrong but she seems fine and is now awake and feeding fine.

AIBU to think a 5 day old baby shouldn't be going all night without a feed?

Did she feed enough join the day yesterday?

i think by now I would be waking for a feed.

Yeah she fed yesterday as normal and is currently feeding now.

Ds1 did this at five days old! He's coming up 8 now.

Yanbu to worry...it's so stressful! Just make sure the baby feeds enough today and if you have ANY doubts, call the doc or come on here quick to ask more advice.

Thank you I think Im just overreacting as she is happy and alert now after feeding.

I didn't know whether I should set an alarm and wake her for a feed or not DP says I'm ridiculous and should be happy she is sleeping and if she was hungry she would wake me.

I also have a breathing monitor so not worried about that.

My other 3DC never slept through the night for at least 6mths.

I don't think you're over-worrying at all! She's very small to sleep through but you will probably find it was a one off....or she may be indicating that she's going to be a good sleeper soon! I have 2 DDs and my oldest did this when she was tiny too...not every night but now and then....was your DD a large baby? DD was over 9 pounds and I think the chunky ones can go a bit longer.x
