I have had eniugh of being hot and sweaty as I race around. Summer was lovely but just want to wear boots and clothes that cover me now!

I mainly want Homeland to arrive. Followed by the eating of stew. And yes, running around at work without feeling sweaty at the end of the day will be a bonus!

TheOnlyPink · 03/09/2013 19:32

Yanbu.

I feel the same, I'm fed up if the summer now. My ds1 was really tired after school today and I felt guilty letting him lie on the floor with the Lego instead of out in the sunshine!
all the lovely autumn clothes are in the shops and I can't wait to wear them!

roll on proper autumn weather even though i will probably be complaining about the heating bills all winter

Freshlysqueezed · 03/09/2013 19:34

Yes to Homeland, stew and not feeling you have to be outside!

What is it with the threads today wishing away the Summer?

I want to bask and wallow still. There remains a tiny frozen bit right in my middle from the desolate weather of the last few years.

cantspel · 03/09/2013 19:38

why is everyone is such a hurry to turn their heating on and start burning tenners?

farrowandbawl · 03/09/2013 19:41

I'm an Autumn and Winter girl anyway.

Today on the way back from dropping DS off at school I noticed the leaves on the pavement and smiled to myself.

It's a little cooler in the mornings and it's getting darker earlier. Nearly there.

IsaacCox · 03/09/2013 19:43

Yanbu. I have lots of lovely stuff to wear. Boots, tights, coats, hat, scarves. Love it. Can't wait to not be hot and sticky.

primallass · 03/09/2013 19:45

It is autumn-ey here, but was also roasty-toasty this afternoon. Best of both worlds.

VerySmallSqueak · 03/09/2013 19:45

But I still haven't had my boots re-heeled.

You're going to have to drag this summer kicking and screaming away from me.

hashtagwhatever · 03/09/2013 19:46

yanbu. I absolutely love autumn, crisp mornings cosy evening's and warm stews, Halloween ect ect

HeySoulSister · 03/09/2013 19:50

Autumn is lovely yes! But I'm not wishing summer away either!

I've list 5 stone and I'm loving wearing summer clothes!

NoComet · 03/09/2013 19:52

YABU
It's still warm enough to swim, long may it continue.

Doubtfuldaphne · 03/09/2013 19:57

I Love autumn so much. Crisp and sunny is the best. Also can't wait to be able to cover up a bit more..

NeoMaxiZoomDweebie · 03/09/2013 20:01

Yanbu. My friend wore boots today! She must have wanted it too....I want tights! Black ones which cover all my legs....and a nice dark coloured dress.

I want fog, frost, robins, red berries and loads of lovely coloured leaves! I want bare branches and stew...along with lamps lit and pumpkins! And of course...Christmas!

Deathbyladybirds · 03/09/2013 20:01

Yabu, never wish the sun away.

Fakebook · 03/09/2013 20:02

No. Just no.

It's 27°C here tomorrow. Haha.

HeySoulSister · 03/09/2013 20:04

Yay!! That's going to be hot hot hot

trinity0097 · 03/09/2013 20:05

I know what you mean, children return to school on Thursday and I want to be wearing my slightly smarter autumn/winter wardrobe not my more floaty slightly less smart summer work clothes!

gettingeasiernow · 03/09/2013 20:06

The season of new boots. Ahhhhh...

HopefulMNer · 03/09/2013 20:10

Why do you all think you have to be uncovered just because of summer? I have been wearing linen trousers (cheap from Primark) and very fine long tunics. Cool, elegant and comfortable.

YABU winter is miserable and dark and the last one went on for ages. The heating is too expensive, too.

VerySmallSqueak · 04/09/2013 09:15

I spend most of Autumn clearing 10000000000000000000000000000000000 leaves from my garden (we live on the edge of woods).

The vermin get hungry and start trying to find a nice warm house to make their home.

And the chooks start to lay less with longer nights.

The line 'Summertime, and the living is easy' is definitely true!

YABU - Autumn is the season of higher gas bills!

Fakebook · 04/09/2013 11:14

It's 22°C here right now! Lovely :)

ShowOfHands · 04/09/2013 11:17

I get a little thrill of pleasure when Autumn sneaks in. I've noticed the leaves falling, the nights drawing in, the swirly winds, the odd nip in the air. It's coming.

It's not long until new Sherlock, stew, boots, scarves and misty breath.
