to want a "summary" button, and why post to "bookmark"

I know that you can highlight the OP's posts but several times recently I've just wanted to know what the OP has said/ updated and had to scroll through literally hundreds of posts all saying the same thing - mainly "bookmarking my place". A nice little button that would just show the OPs posts would be very useful, nudge, nudge MNHQ unless there is one somewhere and I've not found it yet
And my other grievance, is why do people post "just bookmarking my place"? Don't post, just bookmark the last post you read! I can't be the only one who doesn't want to keep reading that!
Rant over!
and I'm still bored! Wink

Search the page for the OP's name and you can skip down.

If you click on customise, then go to "highlight options" you can highlight OPs posts and your own. Makes it far easier to check for updates

If you click on "watch this thread" then you can do just that, to keep an eye on it. Agree with you it's frustrating to see dozens of "shamelessly marking my place - this is hilarious" - type posts

By marking your place with a post you can see posts that come after your latest, so where you have read to, in threads I'm on. Threads you're watching doesn't do this. Only useful when threads are huge, such as Tidy's recent wedding ones.

It's definitely all Tidy's fault! Wink
