To tell my neighbour?

I live in a row of tiny terraced houses with very small back yards. My next door neighbour is in her living room applying, what appears to be vagisil to her vulva. She is on her sofa in the lotus position smearing it on oblivious to the fact I, and ds (who is nearly 2) can clearly see. She has net curtains up so may think she is hidden but she sadly isn't. Do I tell her? How? Would you? I don't really know her but she seems approachable.
I'm not a prude but if I can see her surely others can?

I wouldn't tell her.
I'd probably draw my own curtains. I'd hope she wasn't going to persist for very long anyway.

But your post did make me laugh!

MummyBeerest · 22/08/2013 15:55

Knock and wave. That oughta do it.

Grin
MultumInParvo · 22/08/2013 15:55

Hahahahahaha

PaleAndMysterious · 22/08/2013 15:57

Forgot to mention I was in my garden NDN was in her living room. I've gone back in my house sharpish -there are somethings you can't un-see!

ha ha ha ha ha ha !! Thanks, that's hilarious.

Next time you see her just ask how her infected vulva is, she'll probably get the hint then.

Can you still see her?

Onetwothreeoops · 22/08/2013 15:59

I really hope your neighbour is a mumsnetter!

That's hilarious!

zatyaballerina · 22/08/2013 16:06

I wouldn't say anything, it would embarrass her.

50shadesofmeh · 22/08/2013 16:08

I would have just waved at her through the nets.
Seriously don't tell her though. How do you even broach that subject ?

DidoTheDodo · 22/08/2013 16:20

Or start a conversation "Can you see into my living room? It's just that earlier today....."

Libertine73 · 22/08/2013 16:21

God no! don't say anything! Hopefully her fanny will soon clear up and it won't be a daily activity!

Libertine73 · 22/08/2013 16:21

How do you know it was vagisil? Might have been deep heat?

ElleBelly · 22/08/2013 16:22

Who does that in their living room? Better than kitchen I suppose.

ILetHimKeep20Quid · 22/08/2013 16:25

Just stop looking?

happygirl87 · 22/08/2013 16:26

Libertine the thought of deepheat there makes me weep inwardly.....

EndoplasmicReticulum · 22/08/2013 16:29

When I was a teenager I used to go round to my boyfriend's house and we would have sex in his bedroom. We thought that the blinds on his window were not see-through. We were wrong.

Neighbour had a word with his mum (!) asking her to put curtains up.

She is now my MIL but the neighbours have since moved away.

I don't know how you could ever bring the subject up. I think I would just not look.

WafflyVersatile · 22/08/2013 16:32

Next time you see her, tell her you have thrush and ask if you can you borrow her cream.

Waffling · 22/08/2013 16:33

YOU CAN SEE THROUGH NETS? Shiiiiit...

Waffling · 22/08/2013 16:34
WeAreEternal · 22/08/2013 16:36

YOU CAN SEE THROUGH NETS? Shiiiiit...

Exactly what I was thinking.

PaleAndMysterious · 22/08/2013 16:54

I can definitely see through her nets! They are a lacy monstrosity but quite thick. I can see through the non lacy bit of the pattern too if that makes sense? HTH Grin

ratspeaker · 22/08/2013 18:09

You can see through some of those bamboo blinds too if the lights on in the room.

pinkdelight · 22/08/2013 18:18

Trying to think of joke about her having problems with her curtains.

Not very helpful, sorry!

FayeKorgasm · 22/08/2013 18:26

I might need to name change after this, but here goes.... Following on from the deep heat suggestion.

I was a very naive 19 year old- and it was a few years ago, a long time before the Internet! Well I developed a mild case of thrush. I didn't know what it was, but decided that germoline was the solution. Trust me, it wasn't.

I can still remember how sore I was. When I eventually went to the doctor, he was horrified!

I was very discreet when I applied it though!

Sorry for the hijack.

ChippingInHopHopHop · 22/08/2013 18:30

I Would Not Say A Thing. Leave the poor woman with some dignity intact otherwise she's not going to be able to face you.
