I'm intriguedSmile sd hates them with a passion though so I have no excuse

Sparklingbrook · 20/08/2013 08:23

I really want to know what the attraction is. it would be funny to watch all the teens in the audience too. Grin

I feel old at 33 Blush and DH does too.

There was a bit about them on the news last night saying how world famous they were and that there was a film out and we just sat and looked at each other going "really?!"

Then they played a clip of one of their videos and we were saying "they look like wee boys! Look at that ones stupid haircut who fancies them?!"... "I bet they can't even play an instrument or write a song!"

Then we realised we sounded like our parents...sob!

supermariossister · 20/08/2013 08:26

Grin much as id like to say I don't like them I do find myself singing along. suppose it is a bit like my obsession with five, or darius Danesh Blush years ago so I cant judge. I come from the town near harry styles, lots of screaming 1d fans round here

thismousebites · 20/08/2013 08:41

It would be fun to go and then when the Tweens start screaming join inGrin

NarkyNamechanger · 20/08/2013 08:43

Haha Are you wanting to find out if you harbour a secret love for Harry Hairstyles? :)

Sparklingbrook · 20/08/2013 08:43

Perhaps we will fall in love with Harry Hairstyles ourselves if we see the film? Shock

OP posts:
NarkyNamechanger · 20/08/2013 08:44

Yes. Yes you will.

InkleWinkle · 20/08/2013 08:45

I have had to promise to take my 8yr old.
I don't think I would ever fall in love with Harry Hairstyles!

Sparklingbrook · 20/08/2013 08:46

Yes, I need to know about Harry Hairstyles and see if I will fall under his spell. Grin

YABU.

TiggyD · 20/08/2013 08:47

You do realise they'll use the money they get from it to make 'music'?

gazzalw · 20/08/2013 08:48

No YANBU! Go for it Sparklingbrook.

DW and a friend went to see the filming of the One Direction Comic Relief event - she was embarrassed but decided to throw caution to the wind...heck you only get one life.

DD and DN were very, very jealous though....

DW did say, having never really having been a screaming teen fan herself, that she just couldn't get over the knicker-throwing etc....

Under sufferance we went to see the Justin Bieber film a couple of years ago - en famille!

BeckAndCall · 20/08/2013 08:50

I'd love to see it and I'm over 50! These behind-the-scenes films are fascinating. I've even seen 1D as part of the xfactor tour the year they were on ( DD too young to go on her own at the time!).

But I couldn't be seen doing it in public, oh no, I shall have to wait until it comes onto sky movies.

Tortoise · 20/08/2013 10:39

I (stupidly) promised DD1 I would take her when it comes out. Regretting that now!

kali110 · 20/08/2013 10:40

Yes.yes you are being very unreasonable dont do it!!

Repeatedlydoingthetwist · 20/08/2013 10:45

I want to go and see it...

I think I have a bit of a crush on Harry. Now that IS unreasonable. Blush

I'll leave MN now.

NettoSuperstar · 20/08/2013 10:47

I'm going to see it, I love Harry.

MrsLouisTheroux · 20/08/2013 12:01

DD can't wait! neither can I !

Sparklingbrook · 20/08/2013 13:08

Mmm. I think DS1 (14) and Ds2 (11) will need to come with me.

OP posts:
Repeatedlydoingthetwist · 20/08/2013 15:35

My DD is only 8 weeks old so I can't even use her as an excuse Confused

Sparklingbrook · 20/08/2013 15:37

You can blame 'new Mum brain' for temporarily clouding your judgement Big. Grin

failingatlife · 20/08/2013 15:39

My DD (8) cant wait and neither can I Wink

Fairylea · 20/08/2013 16:13

I want to go and see it.

I am 33 in October.

2kidsintow · 20/08/2013 18:10

I've got tickets.

My DD1 and her best friend love 1D and DD2 doesn't mind them either. So I bought a family ticket to take my 2 and the friend to see it.

I am expecting a mother-of-the-year award for sitting through it.

I'm easily swayed though, so slightly worried that I'll love 1D by the time the film has finished.
