To hate the revving Honda advert?!

It is just noise! Horrible noise!! Also I think something has happened to my ears as I am getting really sensitive to noise, turning into my mother turning down the telly all the time!!

No it is definately Honda, on channel 4 just constant noise!!!!! It's the sponsored by Honda bit either side of a programme (relocation.....) ha!

The only Honda ad I can find with lots of revving engines is about 6 years old.

It's very clever

You cannot show a car performing at high speeds in normal adverts any more as it encourages dangerous driving / breaking the speed limit etc

So they have got round it by showing the engine performing at high speeds

I really like it for the cleverness of that

I love the sound of that engine. I loved it before the advert. I don't usually pay any notice to cars whatsoever but when an Audi R8 passed me one day my head turned. And yes I do know that sounds really sad and no, I don't work for them

It's a great noise, if a little muted. V10s aren't very common, there's only really the VW group that use them, Dodge (whose latest V10 was developed with the help of Lamborghini), Lexus (in a £350,000 supercar).

BMW don't do V10s any more, Porsche had a fantastic-sounding V10 in the Carrera GT supercar, the Lexus LFA has now finished its production run - it's a dying breed.

I hate it as well. It reminds me of the knob that keeps revving up his stupid motorbike in our shared driveway at inappropriate times of the day and night. As noises go it's right up there with shouting waiters, barking dogs and crows dying in the irritance stakes.

It's been really successful, so I'm afraid you are probably in the minority.

I do think it's a lovely noise. And a lovely engine!

DH thinks its great. Its not trying to show the car as 'pretty' as other car adverts try to do, just what the engine is capable of. Goes.completely.over.my.head...

Favourite advert in our house....not only an awesome noise but blue flames too!!

Our house comes to a standstill when the Audi advert comes on.
Everybody stops what they are doing so they can listen.
There is no better noise than an Audi R8 V10 engine!

I find the sound of engines really horrible as well. I don't understand what is appealing about them.

I love it. It's a good advert.

It's a brilliant ad. I have witnessed 3 men (separately) see it for the first time. Each time the TV ad break was on during sport so nobody paying attention, I notice the face of said man look to TV and totally tune out everything in the room. I wonder what has captivated them and only then do I hear and see the TV.
