To think A Touch of Cloth

is the worst name ever for a TV drama? Every time the ad comes on the telly I think of touching cloth.

Why oh why did they call it that?

They called it that because it is Charlie Brooker - he wants you to think of that.

Has anyone watched it? It looks good!

I can't get past the image of Charlier Brooker's skiddy undercrackers.

That's the point. The show is hilarious- full of puns and puerile humour with some flashes of intellectual comedy too.

In that case Domino it sounds right up my street :)

the last one was very funny it did go a bit rude for the sake of rude but got back on track John Hannahs deadpan face cracks me up

My dh didn't get it poor lamb needs comedy to slap him in the face

I had never heard the phrase before. DP had to enlighten me

Anyway, despite being rather fond of Brooker, both of us thought it was a terrible show, painfully unfunny and obvious

I was amazed that so many people loved it!

"Shut your face, Cloth"

"Give it a wash, Cloth"

I can't wait to see how many new and tenuous cloth based puns can be slipped into the new ones

Because of this thread, I'm just watching S1ep1, & I'm laughing so much, I can barely hear what they're saying!

Wait, is season 2 coming? Not seen the adverts.
Its one of the closest things to Police Squad and I howled all the way through the last series. Brilliant stuff.

Apparently it's back on sky on 25th August.

I think that's a re-run of season one
