I've just looked through all the topics and can't find one that is for 'benefits' questions.
I have noticed that whenever the topic is broached by a poster, the thread is usually in chat or sometimes AIBU and it dissolves into a debacle about benefit scroungers or over zealous posters explaining why you should not criticise people on benefits and 9 times out of 10, it becomes an arguement between two opposing poles & the person's question goes unanswered
Given how many of us are in receipt of benefits would it not be a good idea to have a dedicated area for people to ask questions and receive responses from those of us who can offer practical advice and have knowledge surrounding them that we can pas on?
if there was a dedicated area sort of like 'legal' matters it might lead to people being able to ask questions without judgement and receive useful answers
Is this a good idea for MNHQ or a bad one?
It could link to the actual government pdf's on things such as housing benefit, CTC, WTC, DLA, JSA, ESA etc
I feel this would be a useful and practical addition to MN but that might just be me? What do you think?
