To Want My Shopping Environment Tailored to MY Specifications???

The following should be banned:

Bright Lights (esp fluorescents)

Displays crammed together.

Music

Too much "white" and reflective surfaces.

Allowing too many people in at once. They get in my space. Especially on the weekend. I don't like it. They can come another day surely?

No-one allowed in who smells whiffy. At all. Especially if their idea of perfume last had it's heyday in the 80's.

Instead I would like:

Softly spoken staff (nobody loud or shouty, thanks. Oh and helpful, obviously)

Pleasant lighting with a calming frequency.
Lots of room to move.

Open especially for me, or limited to a dozen people at a time if you absolutely must

Someone to distract DD while I browse/try stuff on.

Reasonable, no?

Sounds fair to me. I'll also ban patterned floors as they make me dizzy.

YY to patterned floors. And those awful twisty shiny things that look like Xmas decorations.

I can't shop without several tabs open at once to compare and contrast.

Ventured into the real world the other day to attempt some shopping. There were other people near me. The only person I can bear in such close proximity is the village postmaster as I hand him my returns.

Never NEVER ask me if I found everything I needed. I either didn't, and asked you or did so SHUT UP. In my defense, I live in North America, land of over-helpful staff.
