I'm loving Chris Evans and think he has redeemed himself from past awful behaviour BUT I can't help being annoyed that he has already started his son's future career on radio. I bet he's a lovely lad but...sorry, Chris...I think this is a cheek!

I hate Chris Evans. He's an absolutely loathsome, myanthropic human being.

Emilythornesbff · 13/08/2013 21:26

I'm still annoyed that Chris Evans himself is on radio tbh.

amothersplaceisinthewrong · 13/08/2013 21:26

Yes, I wish he would leave his son out of it too. Tash, if you are Mumsnetter, tell Chris from us!

Sparklingbrook · 13/08/2013 21:26

In what way is he on the radio? Isn't he three or something? Grin

Panzee · 13/08/2013 21:26

Don't hold back Tabitha! :o

My brother has served Chris Evans in a shop. Declared him a gent.

TunipTheUnconquerable · 13/08/2013 21:28

myanthropic?

It seems as soon as he could talk Chris shoved a microphone in front of his gob to secure his future.

I have no doubt he is a gent...still with an agenda. Wink

Are you talking about his little son? He is only about 4! Not sure it really counts as a 'career' yet.
Anyone who has the connections/ability to help their children succeed uses them.
The poor kid may have no interest in show biz by the time it matters.
I'd be more worried about him being exploited at such a young age.

TabithaStephens · 13/08/2013 21:30

Supposed to say misanthropic.

EasterHoliday · 13/08/2013 21:30

can you explain why you went off someone who was using their professional position to sell donated items to raise money for a charity? does not compute...

TunipTheUnconquerable · 13/08/2013 21:31

He doesn't strike me as misanthropic, which is why I wondered if it was something else I didn't know about.

TimeofChange · 13/08/2013 21:33

Chris Evans does my head in.
I think he is a bully - he certainly sounds like one.
I cannot listen to him for more than 10 seconds.

His co presenters are sycophants too.

ShellyBoobs · 13/08/2013 21:34

I went right off him when he auctioned an F1 experience for Children In Need. I don't care that he raised millions, it was such an obscene celebration of profligacy. I won't listen to him now.

Yes, I'm sure Evans' extensive means and contacts would be better put to use doing bag-packing in Asda or shaking a bucket for charity.

TabithaStephens · 13/08/2013 21:34

I have hated him all the way back to TFI Friday. Just an abhorrent human being.

nothingtoseeheremoveon · 13/08/2013 21:34

I think Chris Evans is great personally, love his show. I also like his car features, but then I'm a massive F1 fan and love motorsport.
If he wants to have his son on the show, what's the problem? He's a family man and raises money for charity through his shows.

valiumredhead · 13/08/2013 21:34

Ds and I always listen to him on school days-he's great.

What's he doing with his son then? I've only heard him tell sweet stories about him so far.

LifeIsBetterInFlipFlops · 13/08/2013 21:35

Yep YABU, I love hearing him and his son...me and ten million others.

Lorelilee · 13/08/2013 21:35

I think he is a genuinely caring, giving, talented individual - with occasional flashes of egotism, the use of his son on his show being one of them. I believe he realises what a twat he was in the past (and refers to it often).

valiumredhead · 13/08/2013 21:35

Why does him raising money offend you?Confused

Mynewmoniker · 13/08/2013 21:36

Ye...sadly the sycophants are back.

and I've heard his tone when he thinks someone is taking over or making 'better' statements.

but I still like him.

I also don't want to hear what kids are doing for the first time ever at THAT time in a morning.

Oh, he's unbrearable. Why does he think anyone is interested in his family?

I'm interested in his family. Noah is about the same age as my first.

Cutitup · 13/08/2013 21:39

It's the British version of Jaden Smith and that awful Willow Smith. I wish they would all just fuck off.
