To think dragons den has gone absolute crap

I have always enjoyed dragons den as I am fascinated with business and I feel it bears far more similarities to real life business than the apprentice which is just a reality show. My favourite dragon of all time was Hilary I thought she was brilliant. The new dragons are just dull. Piers seems totally up his own backside and Kelly was like a talking robot. Even someone breaking into tears did not really add much drama. I think the show is going down the pan to be honest. Anyone else think that too?

I thought it was pretty much same-old same-old, rather than 'going down the pan.'

I really warmed to Piers, he seems fair and knowledgeable. Kelly came across as having all the charisma of a damp 70's NCP multi-storey. The chap at the end choked me up a bit. All a bit to close to home for me, that tale (minus the miscarriages).

In summary, inoffensive, predictable, easy way to while away an hour on a sunday...

Oh and I winced at Kelly's "as a woman" comment. As if?! Like any of the men could have got away with saying "as a man I feel I would be the perfect representative of your brand" or some such. It'd have been edited out. Outrageous.

I actually thought kelly Hoppen was alright. She seemed to offer the contestants advice. I quite like Piers too as he seemed to have a sense of humour. I have always liked Peter but thought he was rude to the guy at the end telling him to hurry up. Wish they would just get rid of Duncan Bannatyne. He is just so miserable.

I love Duncan! He's such a miserable git he actually makes me laugh, I think he could be quite nice in rl in a droll, sarcastic way.

Must also confess to a bit of a crush on Peter Jones Blush Not sure about the new dragons yet but I think the show misses Theo.

ViviPru · 12/08/2013 16:27

Her advice came across as particularly self-aggrandising though I thought. That woman with the picnic golf buggy was HILAIRE! What planet was she on?!

I didn't get Duncan Bannatyne whatsoever until I read his autobiography. Now I'm quite fond of him.

Oops double post!

MrsBucketxx · 12/08/2013 17:01

Kelly has had so much botox you can't tell any if her emotions anymore.

Either that or she is a robot.

TheMagicKeyCanFuckOff · 12/08/2013 17:04

I like Duncan.

Kelly is boring though.

Trifle · 12/08/2013 17:05

I thought Hilary was awful, so glad she has gone although I was more fascinated by her dreadful hair than any business advice she gave. Deborah Meaden seems to grill them for ages then finds some obscure reason to say 'I;m out', cant see what she adds to the programme. As Duncan is allegedly in financial trouble not sure his place is deserved. Bring back Theo !

EldritchCleavage · 12/08/2013 17:19

Yes, YABVVU. It has always been complete drivel.

cushtie335 · 12/08/2013 17:44

I love Duncan, the ridiculous strangled vowels, the facelift, the frustrated acting career. He's priceless!
