To think the HTC one is better than the Samsung S4?

Just that really..

I've had a brick for a phone for years (Sony Ericsson C510) Does what I need, unlimited texts with £10 credit per month on T mobile. Don't ever use it for calls, I have a house phone for that, don't use it for internet, I have a laptop for that It has a half decent camera/video which I use now and again, but I do have a good camera for that!

Anyway DH says do you want a phone for your birthday? We're getting behind the times and don't want to be stumped with technology in future, we have to catch up!

I'm not an old fuddy duddy with no clue no offence I will have no problem getting used to an up to date phone within a few weeks. I was looking at these two phones and I'm leaning towards the HTC one. Anyone have experience of either or preferably both? Pro's/cons welcome!

dh picked the HTC one over the s4, having had the S3

he LOVES it!!! I have the Sony experia z and mine has a better camera but the battery is shit,

dh battery lasts loads longer and the speakers and screen on his are amazing!!! it also feels a lotmore sturdy than mine

does everything you need being android too

The battery lasts longer on the Samsung but I think the HTC is much cheaper. Nicer to use IMO too.

I'm looking at contract and the prices for them I have found are the same so price isn't an issue, it's really just which phone is 'better'.

I know the HTC one will be compatible with the Xbox one console that is coming out too so that is great
