I've actually been to a really nice restaurant in Matlock - damned if I can remember what it was called (sorry)

Maazi's curry house is great!

Justforlaughs · 09/08/2013 18:00

You might be better off googling restaurants in Matlock and looking at trip advisor. Lots of reviews on there. Doesn't look like you're going to get a massive response on here tbh.

I just looked at TripAdvisor and The Shalimar comes out v high. The staff are brilliant, but their curries are pretty bland imho.

Eek I'm desperate!! Ill give you juicy details later.... :)

Shalimar, Maazi, Thailand no.1, Viva all good. If you want top end go for the Peacock or East Lodge, both in Rowsley.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 09/08/2013 18:56

East Lodge is nice, but I've only had afternoon tea there.

SamSeaborn · 09/08/2013 19:02

If you like Thai food, Thailand no1 is really good.

sd7174 · 09/08/2013 20:43

Stones restaurant is fantastic, and also shalimar

Another vote for Thailand no.1.
