DP & I don't live together. I'm having a shitty week with ds not sleeping and he brought up the fact that he'll get a lie in tomorrow (without thinking, not on purpose to run my sleep-deprived face in it).

WIBU to ltb? Grin

Jammy fucker...

Also, has anyone seen my shoes? I put them in a 'safe place' the black hole into which all important things are lost yesterday after ds tried to fill them with water and can't find them, as I was too dopey to remember where I put them Hmm

iloveweetos · 09/08/2013 10:41

LTB without a doubt...how dare he have a lie in? He should be up early and over to yours to make you breakfast in bed.
Inconsiderate! Wink

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 10:43

I know right? It's not like he's been on early shifts all week and this is his first morning that doesn't start at 5...oh wait!

I will lie as still as I can on the sofa tomorrow morning and hope DS forgets I'm there. (Disclaimer: Do not attempt this at home, it's highly rubbish parenting)

OP posts:
ayahushca · 09/08/2013 10:44

Oh absolutely. And the break-up should be done by phone at about 7AM :p

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 10:45

Ooo don't tempt me!

I seriously need to find my shoes so I can buy some Brew . I live in a bungalow ffs...where on earth could I have hidden a pair of shoes? Grin

OP posts:
ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 10:54

Apparently a parent-lie in is where you go to bed when they do...which isn't as appealing for the reason that you don't feel you had a break at all and usually feel no less stressed as a result!

I'll try anything after this week though...

Don't just LTB. PHITC.

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 10:57

What does PHITC stand for?

OP posts:
ayahushca · 09/08/2013 11:01

My favourite part of being a new mumsnetter is trying to guess what every acronym means the first time I come across it.

PHITC?
Put Him In The Corner?
Place Hornets Inside The Covers?
Punt Him In The C? (though I'm not sure which c is more likely, one of them makes for a snazzy rhyme, but seems far less anatomically correct)

OfficerMeow · 09/08/2013 11:03

PHITC - punch him in the cock

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 11:04

I guess punt something...maybe that's just a reflection of how I feel this morning Blush Grin

ChunkyPickle · 09/08/2013 11:07

Kitchen cupboards. My stuff put in safe places always seem to migrate to one high corner cupboard (although I've never caught myself putting anything other than tins or jam into it)

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 11:07

Cross post. I never would've guessed Grin

He's meant to be popping over later but he has a habit of saying falling asleep on my sofa when he comes over after work so I'd better say no. If I have to look at an adult asleep in my house when I can't then I think I might LMS...

OP posts:
ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 11:08

I found them in the washing machine Blush ...So at least I can go buy something heavily caffeinated & get DS to burn off some energy!

OP posts:
DameDeepRedBetty · 09/08/2013 11:11

Shoes in the washing machine might just beat my putting the bread in the kettle moment.

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 11:13

oo hope you didn't turn it on DDRB !

I went to put a load on and nearly didn't see them. It's not the first time either but I always forget about the washing machine when checking for lost things for some reason!

OP posts:
EagleRiderDirk · 09/08/2013 13:02

aya I nearly literally wet myself at punt him in the c*

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 16:07

He brought up how much he was looking forward to his lie in... again .
So I may have had to say to him that whilst I appreciate he's worked really hard this week, mine's not been peachy and to not mention the lie in please. It may have been really precious of me but I'm too tired to be reasonable and would rather say that than have some sort of outburst tomorrow when he tells me how effing great it was Hmm Grin

I bought some Brew and Wine anyway so this evening is about to get interesting ...

OP posts:
melika · 09/08/2013 16:15

Punt him in the cu**! Ha ha ha ha, really made me chuckle.

And YANBU!

melika · 09/08/2013 16:17

ps. can you find my camera and jewellery box as I have put them 'safe' somewhere!!

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 16:24

Cupboards? (Sometimes on top of them, usually the least used ones). Washing/drying machine? Anywhere you know DCs 'post' things? Smile

OP posts:
ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 16:27

If you have a car with a roof rack then check that...They have a knack for accumulating thing hidden in haste. My friend's one is like an inanimate magpie. She only find it when she goes to use the thing (so once every year or so) and has usually already replaced whatever was lost!

OP posts:
DescribeTheRuckus · 09/08/2013 16:59

ok...I know I'm thick, but I don't know what ltb means?

ClassyAsALannister · 09/08/2013 17:04

Leave The Bastard...A classic MN phrase (mostly bandied about on the relationship boards) Smile

OP posts:
BadgersNadgers · 09/08/2013 17:53

Any idea where half of the salad spinner is? Have looked under the beds and in the washing machine - nothing.
