To ask you how to get wee off my leather sofa?

I'm sorry I know this isn't AIBU but I'm desperate for answers. Toddler (3.5) has just peed a full bladder all over our leather sofa. Has anyone got any ideas how to clean it? I feel terrible too because I really shouted at her, plonked her in the bath and then it was bedtime, she really cried. I explained to her why I was so cross and we had a big cuddle and story in the end. I was just congratulating myself too on what a nice day we'd had.

Its leather, just wipe it off no?

Ezio · 05/08/2013 19:34

Damp cloth should do it, or leather wipes.

Footface · 05/08/2013 19:35

Can't you just wipe it off?

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 05/08/2013 19:36

Absorb any puddles with kitchen roll. Then use a damp cloth to wipe down, then leather wipes.

GhostsInSnow · 05/08/2013 19:38

My elderly dog did this not long ago (fortunately only a small westie). I mopped up the majority with kitchen roll then used a damp cloth to wipe over with a little fabric conditioner.

I use Lord Sheraton Leather Cleaner, squirt on and polish. Smells nice as well.

Yep what they all said

(Baby wipes if no leather wipes to hand)

Btdt

I have leather sofas, any kind of wipe works tbh.

appletarts · 05/08/2013 19:41

Am I a horrible mum that I shouted at her? Sad

appletarts not at all...I think they heard me shout at the dog in the next street. Knee jerk reaction, I felt rather guilty after but leather sofas tend to clean up well.

Ezio · 05/08/2013 19:42

No Apple, we all get frustrated at times, you explained why, had a cuddle and story, shes probably forgotten about it now.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it might not be so easy. My DS had a leaky nappy on our leather footstool/pouffe thingy and we now have a dark slightly dull patch where the wee was. It is the soft -ish distressed looking leather (bought prior to DDOG AND DS!)

MrsBungle · 05/08/2013 20:03

My ds just wee'd on the sofa tonight. As well ask asking his crumpet into it and spilling dd's water on it. He was sick all over it last week!

I always just wipe it off. There's no marks on it. I use damp cloths and/or leather wipes.

MrsBungle · 05/08/2013 20:04

Mashing his bloody crumpet, not asking it!
