Not to take dd to gym this morning

I am completely looking for justification here and am being so daft, but dd (2.7) has gym class 9:30-10:15 on a Saturday and is excited about it. She is still in bed despite building work going on right outside her window so must be knackered.

Should I wake her? I hate waking her on the weekend bless her

Which will cause the bigger tantrum? Being woken up or missing out on her activity? I would go with the easier option, personally.

I would wake her if she's really excited about going. She'll be disappointed if she wakes up thinking she's going then realises it's too late.

Hmmmm ... Well I didn't wake her and feel bad! She is terrible when tired so I think letting her sleep was the best idea and I am going to use junk modelling and lots of glue as a distraction when she gets up.

Poor little thing, she will be annoyed I think.

She is still snoring away with digging and drilling though so is thoroughly knackered.

oh how I wish my 2 yr old would sleep in! just once! 6:30 is a lie in for us. Envy

sarahandemily · 03/08/2013 09:28

I would and have let my dd lie in in a similar situation. It's such bliss when they lie in - and there is always gym class next week. Just make it up to her with something else fun today

JaneFonda · 03/08/2013 09:37

Will she really know that today is gym? If you don't mention it, she won't know that today is Saturday, will she?

Don't feel bad - she could be tired, or coming down with something.
