to think dust is the work of the devil?

Vacuum cleaner broke a month ago. Finally realised that this was no longer going to wash as an excuse not to do housework, so took ds to my sister's, where I swapped him for a Dyson.

Just spent all morning vacuuming, but every time I finish a room and turn my back, the dust returns ten-thousand-fold. This is the work of the devil, right? I mean if an uber-vacuum like a Dyson can't get it all up, I'm doomed aren't I? Do I need to get our house exorcised or something?

Isn't dust mostly made up of skin particles? You could decide to think about dust in a different way. Fragments of your loved ones for example. Embrace the dust and learn to love it!

It goes hand in hand with those bloody bits of fluff / fibres that seem to stick to the sink 10 minutes after I have cleaned it. Bastards.

Think I could probably learn to embrace the dust, dyslexic, but ds is more likely to eat it. He's at that awkward, putting-everything-in-mouth stage. Do dust bunnies harm babies? Or is it all part of building their immune system?

I tell myself that dust is good for their immune system! Please, no one contradict me. I hate cleaning

Bastarding sock fluff stuck to the goddamn beige carpets is the bane of my life at the moment. I find a damn cloth gets up all the dust well enough if I do it twice a week.

I hate the way it gathers on the skirting boards minutes after you've wiped them down.
Worse in summer when the doors/windows are open and half the garden blows in.
