to let the washing machine continue?

Help! There's a banging in the washing machine. Just realised I've thrown in a bottle of (purple) nail varnish in with the wash.

OK to let the cycle run (2 hours) or do I try to stop it, drain it, etc? Ugh I'm such a bad housewife.

Yes! Decent housewives wear black nail varnish Grin

Stop it and drain it without spinning or you will live to regret it!

If it's got 2 hrs left to go I would certainly get the bottle out... but if it was near the end I would most definitely pretend I hadn't noticed.

Stop it in case it does damage to the machine or your clothes (since you've noticed, I tend to notice only when taking clothes out and wondering why strange things have happened to them)

Argh, I had a phone call and completely forgot about it! Going to have a look ...

Well, I won't be doing that again! Managed to stop it before the spin. A couple of tops (mine - fair enough!) have purple marks on and one will have to go. The rest ok though - only a tiny amount came out.

Does anyone know if nail varnish remover can be used on tops?

Worth a try!

steppemum · 24/07/2013 23:11

yes it can be, whether it works or not is another matter, but you have nothing to loose!

steppemum · 24/07/2013 23:12

2 hours is a very long cycle??

Mandy2003 · 25/07/2013 12:22

I bet it is a Beko! 2 hrs is the shortest cycle on mine Angry
