DP is a mechanic and has a project car on the go atm, since this project car 3 weeks ago happened he has been out in his garage (about 3 miles away) every night and weekend. Yes the weekend after last he spent the sunday with me and the dc and we had a picnic at the park, and last saturday night he stayed in so I could go out clubbing but thats been it!

Anyway last night 8 oclock I rang and asked him to tell me when he was going to be an hour away so I could start the jacket potatoes and salmon and he said start dinner I'll be an hour...

Quarter to 11 he came in FFs, last week thursday and friday I refused to cook and he brought in takeaway for us at half ten thursday and half 11 friday.

So last night I shouted a few smart ass words and have told him I'm eating with the kids at 6 each night if he wants dinner then be here by then otherwise sort your frigging self out. I feel like I'm running an unpaid (as he spent all his money this month on this car as it will apparently make an amazing profit) B&B ARGHHH

Not sure if I'm over reacting and should just smile and let him get on with what he's doing, I'm hormonal atm shouty at everyone need a objective view whether I'm being a right horrible cow.

I'm not being a horrible controlling gf who expects him to spend all his spare time home??

plate his up when you do the others, and let him reheat it or eat it cold... no need to run a restaurant service..

No, you're being a rational adult woman who expects him to spend some of his free time at home. This project isn't a job, it's a hobby, and as such should not consume every spare minute he has.
