AIBU to think Iggle Piggle is a thieving bastard?

Saw an advert online for an In The Night Garden live show near me, get a bit giddy clicking away & the total for two adults, 1 dc, a goody bag & a meet & greet with Iggle Piggle himself = £100+

Didn't bother.

Might cut a little balaclava out of an old top for DS's iggle piggle teddy considering he's robbing parents of £100 for something their kids will only sleep/cry through.
AIBU?

...I think I'm hormonal. I don't know why I'm so outraged by this..

Best thread title today Grin

We met Igglw Piggle (not at that- couldn't afford that, or was a free open day thing) and all the children were terrified. Put me off ITNG as well- was fucking scary.

CaramelisedOnion · 20/07/2013 22:25

Iggle Piggle is a bit of a bellend..... Maca Paca is cool though....

extracrunchy · 20/07/2013 22:26

You know you have to pay extra if you want to meet the bastard? Last year it was £15 per child and one child only at a time. IP must be rolling in it.

extracrunchy · 20/07/2013 22:27

Agree re Maca Paca. He's alright.

SupSlick · 20/07/2013 22:28

My grandma thought Makka Pakka's name was mother fucker. She was mortified.

Dress up as a policeman and go and stand outside 10 Downing Street, you can meet him for free.

Might not get a goody bag though.

AndHarry · 20/07/2013 22:31

:o YANBU. Things for children should be cheap.

HoneyDragon · 20/07/2013 22:33

He's also a dirty bastard. Always disappearing into the woods with UpsyDaisy and that red blanket.

Isoscelesnorks · 20/07/2013 23:19

He just wants to get into UpsyDaisy's bed with her. I mean really how can the BBC make such shows for children.

extracrunchy · 20/07/2013 23:22

And roll around in all his $$$

RoxyFox211 · 21/07/2013 07:33

Haha supslick Grin

Sirzy · 21/07/2013 07:35

Don't pay for the extras then. When I go there are 3 adults and 3 children and we only paid around £100 for all 6 of us.

soapboxqueen · 21/07/2013 07:43

Upsey Daisy is a bit of a whore. Always lifting her skirt up for folks, taking her bed with her in case of unexpected business which she drums up using her megaphone. Then there was that whole incident when macca pakka had something stuck in his trumpet so she gave it a good shake for him. The shaking was fruitful and something came flying out for her.

I shit you notBlush

ITNG will never be the same again.

Tbf they all get more action than me with all the kissing that goes on.

I got really annoyed when Jacobi redid the Iggle Piggle song. The cadence of his voice as he broke into the second couplet used to break my heart("Yes, my n---aaame is Iggle Piggle"), and then it was redone and now is all squeaky and hysterical. Ruined the whole show for me and I was in a bad mood all afternoon upon seeing it.

I was overdue for a return to work, possibly.

charitymum · 21/07/2013 09:47

They had the official costumes for school fete. 2 yr old DS beside himself as two dressed up parents did a short show then had photos with kids. Free.

I do wonder about suitability of show - in one book Upsy Daisy kisses IP ok Ninky Nonk and in another they have a cuddle that leaves wet patch on her dress. All bit too racy for me.
