I've been sick for the last few days, its a perfect storm combo of bad fibromyalgia flare ups, my ever inconvenientperiod and some viral bollocks. Periods done now, aches and pains I can handle but the nausea is really getting to me.

I'm supposed to be meeting my mam for the afternoon tomorrow. We live miles away from each other so she hardly ever sees me unless its a medical crisis. I really don't want to cancel on her, for once my mobility is fine, itsjust this bloody nausea.

So, any tips on clearing it? I'm willing to try cutting out my stomach as a last resort.

Also, I've been grinding my teeth in my sleep so they hurt too. If I was a horse I'd have been shot ages ago.

I take travel sickness tablets at times like this, always work for me.
Good luck.

Ginger really worked for me with morning sickness. I've never tried it,for nausea at other times but could be worth a go? I got the crystallised kind, and also some ginger jelly sweets in the shape of teddies from Holland and Barrett. Good luck!

Try some motillium 10 from the pharmacy.

Peppermint tea
Indigestion remedies like Rennies or Bisodol
Andrews Salts (also sold as effervescent health salts)
Crackers and a small amount of water

My MIL swears by port and brandy mixed but I have never tried it.

Mouth guard from dentist for teeth grinding? My cousin got one and swears by it. Also nux vomica homeopathic remedy for nausea. Sorry about the fibro. Know it's awful

Ginger every time! If you can get to Tesco, buy some fresh root ginger, peel and use a course grater, add to peppermint tea, or on its own in boiling water.

Even on a piece of dry toast, if you are having difficulty eating much. You will feel better within hours. Make sure all the juice soaks into the bread, thats the good bit!

It is a natural anti inflammatory plus nausea antidote. Better than any drugs.

Get some Buccastem from the chrmist. It's designed to work for nausea associated with migranes, but I find it works with all forms of nausea.

*chemist nor chrmist!
