Was just finishing my shopping today with dc (6 weeks) and as I went to the car the woman in car next to me had her back door wide open and was sitting there breast feeding her baby. We smiled at each other as both had babies only a few weeks old and I was just about to also bf dc. Then to my surprise I saw she was also smoking.
I did a double take as the sight sort of shook me, I suppose because I personally find feeding dc such a nurturing and loving act (regardless if bf or bottle) it shocked me to see someone combining this with a known harmful act.
I'm probably being really judgey but it just seemed wrong.

Yanbu. I would have felt very sorry for the baby too. It would strike me as very strange to see good and selfless parenting set against such a selfish and harmful backdrop of cigarette smoke.
