Maybe look for a serviced apartment? I've used www.marlinapartments.com

There's a jurys inn in Islington which tend to be good value and have family rooms.

Bet you could still get rooms at the Premier Inn in Hampstead (near Belsize Park tube) and should be reasonably priced.

tipp2chicago · 17/07/2013 19:11

Try airbnb.com

motheroftwoboys · 17/07/2013 19:13

you can usually find somewhere on late rooms or lastminute.com

Thistle barbican might be worth a look? NB not the most luxurious...

ArabellaBeaumaris · 17/07/2013 19:15

Try Tế university halls of residence - LSE have ones up that way.

I don't know how fancy you want but the Westport inn in kentish town does big rooms, triples and may even bigger. Not fancy though! Or there is a hostel in euston, that does 5 bed rooms you can book the whole thing. I will try and locate the name.

Hotel.com?

helebear · 17/07/2013 19:31

There's a travelodge & holiday inn in old street, which is one tube stop or a short bus ride to angel/ upper st.

You could also try Walter sickert halls of residence, also in old street. Though if its the weekend there might be lots of young people staying there for the local nightlife so it might not be that quiet!

Catsnotrats · 17/07/2013 19:36

There is a best western in finsbury park, one tube stop from highbury and islington. www.bestwestern.co.uk/hotels/london-highbury-london-83939/hotel-info/default.aspx

It isn't the most glamorous of locations but is opposite the park which is lovely and useful with dc!

Just wanted to say thanks so much to everyone - we have managed to book 2 rooms at Jury Inn for £98 - phew!

That sounds like a bargain, well done. Enjoy the wedding.
