To not want doorstep chuggers at the door

In the last three days I've had rspca and just now the red cross chuggers at my door. This is despite a little notice next to the doorbell from the council saying don't ring the doorbell etc.

YANBU chuggers seem immune to such notice, and seem to get annoyed with "But I'm not selling anything..." when you point them at it.

When I made a complaint about an agency worker the agency manager told me that their workers will ignore "no cold calling" signs unless they specifically refer to charity workers.
