Taking bets on what time my "D"P will be home tonight

Form an orderly queue people! He told me he would be home at 8pm, what time do you actually think he will be back?

Disclaimer: I have no problem with him going out till 8pm or whatever time he wants but it PISSES ME OFF when he gives me a time, says he does want his tea and then doesn't turn up. Just don't give me a time and tell me to get my own tea then I wouldn't get so mad! It's not that hard!

What's he doing as I like to make an educated guess?

SoleSource · 05/07/2013 19:40

My ex used to do this all of the time.

10.25pm

ManAliveThisThingsFantastic · 05/07/2013 19:41

He's gone out to a pub with just 1 of his friends, so not much potential for "group pressure" to stay.

Soul - i'll raise you ... 10.45!

WestmorlandSausage · 05/07/2013 19:46

sunny evening... tennis on.... I think you could be in for a long one.

SirBoobAlot · 05/07/2013 19:48

How about you tell him to sleep somewhere else, and order a takeaway?

FeegleFion · 05/07/2013 19:50

1am, if the pub shuts at 12. That's time for calling and waiting on a cab.

wibblyjelly · 05/07/2013 19:57

21:50

jollyjester · 05/07/2013 19:58

After 10 years I have a formula regarding DH time keeping!
Take whatever figure he gives and times it by 3! It always works!

he might surprise you and actually be home at 8. Smile

WorraLiberty · 05/07/2013 19:59

Why didn't you tell him to stick something in the microwave or grab a takeaway on the way home?

CajaDeLaMemoria · 05/07/2013 19:59

9.30.

And then he'll maintain that your clock is an hour fast, and that he left on time.

ManAliveThisThingsFantastic · 05/07/2013 20:02

We have food in and trying to cut back on how much we spend on eating out/take out.

You sound like you speak from experience Caja! Btw, hope you're OK, I was following your thread on sleeping outside.

See, this is why long, long ago, I made a rule. Friday night the kitchen shuts at 5pm. It's my weekend too and if you want something, you do it yourself. Grin

I too am playing the 'what time' game. I'm hoping its after it gets dark, then I can be in bed before he gets back! Grin

LittleprincessinGOLDrocks · 05/07/2013 20:08

Ah now, with my "D"H I have to add 3 hours to his estimated time of arrival... every single day. It infuriates me!

So I would guess at 11pm!

StuntGirl · 05/07/2013 20:18

Can't you just stick the food in the oven and he can reheat it when he eventually gets back?

Fluffycloudland77 · 05/07/2013 20:19

2am with a kebab half eaten and stinking of booze.

eurozammo · 05/07/2013 20:19

11.15.

Pollydon · 05/07/2013 20:21

11:30 & let him male himself a sarnie if hes hungry.

ENormaSnob · 05/07/2013 20:23

0420hrs

fluffyraggies · 05/07/2013 20:25

Well he's missed 8pm anyway ......

Whocansay · 05/07/2013 20:26

3am. You'll find him asleep in the hallway in the morning.

If he's going to be in trouble, he may as well be hung for a sheep than a lamb!

thebody · 05/07/2013 20:29

As long as he's not lying in a ditch don't worry. Pour yourself a large glass, watch the tennis and enjoy. My kitchen shuts at 6..

Prozacbear · 05/07/2013 20:31

I'll go 10.30. My DP would still think that was somehow acceptable and he's the same breed.

pianodoodle · 05/07/2013 20:52

11pm? Unless he falls asleep on the bus like mine did in which case 2am :(

Had the nerve to phone once saying he was on his way to the station. I assume then he was in a taxi playing a CD called "pub background noise No.3"?

FeegleFion · 05/07/2013 20:56

Maybe he's back and the OP is busy
