Dh allowing our 8 year old to watch mrs Brown's boys. Or am I being precious.

minibmw2010 · 28/06/2013 21:44

Only in that its one of the least funny things I've ever seen ...

notanyanymore · 28/06/2013 21:46

Its pretty harmless isn't it...?

mrstigs · 28/06/2013 21:48

I wouldn't let my 7 yo as I'd be mortified when the teacher dragged me in next week to tell me what he'd been repeating in the classroom Grin. But that's my kid, yours my not be the rebel he is .
More importantly though, I wouldn't want him thinking that's what good comedy looks like. It's rather lame...

RedlipsAndSlippers · 28/06/2013 21:49

I'd be annoyed, even though i'm aware my parents let me watch all sorts as a child and i'm fine! DP let DD who's 4 watch the new superman recently, I was most unimpressed.

ENormaSnob · 28/06/2013 21:49

I wouldn't let my 8 year old watch that.

MammaTJ · 28/06/2013 21:51

My only reason for not allowing it would be that my DC are in bed before it is on. They would not understand what they should not understand, no issue.

MalcolmTuckersMum · 28/06/2013 21:52

I'd have let mine watch it - is it the swearing that you're worried about? You'll hear worse than that in any playground unfortunately - so we found that demystifying it helped. But anyway - it's for you to decide, nobody else.

xTillyx · 28/06/2013 22:01

It's not the worst thing he could watch, but not something I'd let mine watch. I do swear quite a lot and my DD has heard me swear, but a programme like that is more for 12/13 + (in my opinion obviously)

sooperdooper · 28/06/2013 22:51

It's crap, I guess

sooperdooper · 28/06/2013 22:52

It's crap, I guess only kids would find it remotely funny anyway

Alisvolatpropiis · 28/06/2013 23:07

He is being VU.

It's not even slightly funny.

If he's going down the "slightly inappropriate" route then might as well be something good.
